Roofer
Install, repair, and replace roofs on commercial buildings
Use various roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, tiles, and commercial-grade membranes
Prepare roof surfaces by removing old materials or repairing damaged areas
Follow safety standards and use fall protection equipment properly
Work as part of a crew under the direction of a foreman
Handle basic roof maintenance and cleanup tasks
Project Manager
Oversee all aspects of roofing projects from start to finish
Create project plans and timelines for completion of roofing jobs
Estimate costs and materials needed for roofing projects
Hire and coordinate subcontractors - roofers, electricians etc.
Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with building codes
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues or delays
Resolve problems that come up during the roof installation process
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Superintendent
Manage multiple roofing projects and crews simultaneously
Interpret project plans and blueprints for roofing specifications
Inspect job sites ahead of time to plan proper staging areas and material storage
Coordinate job site safety standards and provide safety training
Track job progress and prepare reports for management
Communicate with foremen to gather status updates and resolve problems
Ensure high-quality control standards for every roofing system installed
Foreman
Lead roofing crew daily at the job site
Train and oversee crew members - roofers and helpers
Demonstrate proper techniques and safety standards
Assign tasks and prepare staging areas for workers
Track materials used and labor hours for the assigned roof project
Provide updates to the superintendent on job progress/delays
Address worker complaints or problems onsite
Ensure roofing work meets code and quality requirements
